Ahoy! I'm Martin and I started i love blue sea out of necessity. Growing up surfing and fishing in the Bay Area I love the ocean.  This love led me to create the first marketplace where sustainability and quality were never a question.  

So many seafood companies talk about sustainability now that it's tough to know the truth.  We tell you where all of our seafood is from and how it was caught or raised.  We also partnered with Monterey Bay Aquarium and their prestigious Seafood Watch  program to sell only approved seafood.  So feel free to buy anything on our site – it’s all good for you and our oceans.

My dedication to ocean conservation and providing sustainable seafood was born of my passion for surfing and desire to know my eating habits were not destroying the delicate ocean ecosystems that make life on our beautiful planet possible.
