Penn Cove Shellfish is dedicated to providing seafood “Fresh From the Water—Not the Warehouse!”
Located just 2 hours north of Seattle in scenic Coupeville, Washington on Whidbey Island, Penn Cove Shellfish LLC is family-run and currently the largest mussel farm in the US.
With fresh, mineral rich mountain river run-off from the Cascades, and high levels of sunshine for the Pacific Northwest, Penn Cove has a naturally rich “aqua terroir”—the perfect environment for shellfish to thrive.
By producing their own algae diets at their shellfish hatcheries, they are able to ensure the highest quality of shellfish.

With all the unique characteristics of Pacific Northwest shellfish that we’ve come to love, their Kusshi and Kumamoto oysters, Penn Cove mussels, and Mediterranean mussels are consistently exquisite.
