Kumamoto Oysters

Kumamoto Oysters / Crassostrea sikamea

These small, sweet oysters were originally a delicacy enjoyed only in Japan, but have become popular all over the world in the last decade or so due to their unforgettable taste and texture – firm, crisp, plump and succulent. Kumamotos are small with a very deep cup. Rich in flavor, smooth buttery texture, and a sweet, slightly fruity flavor that is not very salty - a perfect oyster for beginners!
